If you are seeking separation from the military, please see the contact information below.
Are you in need of legal advice and support on how to get separated from the military? Facing deployment?
Active Duty military, Reservists, Delayed Entry Recruits and AWOL military personnel can
Get Out of the Military Now.
To all who are AWOL from the Army or UA from the Marines or Navy:
The D.I.P. Line at Fort Knox will no longer tell us or you if you have been D.F.R.'d. (Dropped From the Rolls) of your command. If you are AWOL and preparing to turn yourself in and possibly receive and administrative discharge you are in need of a counselor to make contact with your command on your behalf and insure that you have been D.F.R.'d. Those who have not been "dropped from the rolls" of their command are often returned to their command. To find out about current discharge trends, as well as to work with a non-military counselor to find out your status, please e-mail a counselor with your questions.
Regarding the Fort Hood Tragedy
We are experiencing an increase in contacts following the shooting at Ft. Hood on November 6th. If you are pre-active duty, active duty or post active duty and are experiencing increased distress please make contact with one of the caseworkers to seek relief. There is a national network of physicians and mental health professionals who are dedicated to helping you. If you are experiencing an increase in anxiety or increase in a sense of hopelessness, please let your caseworker know. All information is confidential and we do not take any action on a soldiers behalf without that soldier's explicit consent.
A Note About the Site
This site was constructed after we received many complaints from Active Duty military personnel who had contacted an alternative site (www.getoutofthemilitary.com) for help exploring their rights and felt they were linked back to the military.
WE AT www.getoutofthemilitary.org ARE NOT A MILITARY SITE. We are a small group of dedicated military law counselors who want people to know they have rights and are working towards the ultimate decrease in suicides and sexual assault and harassment within the military. We work with people who want a discharge and need support through that process.
This site is under construction. Until site construction is completed, you may use the following contact information:
If your LAST NAME begins with the letters A through M please
